So ... no time to watch reruns now in the MALT Masters program zone but if I did, I would tune in to some old episodes of Happy Days. A show about a kinder, care free time reminds me of the days before my mind got strapped in for this 13 month ride of a life time. The learning has been intense and creative, the relationships have been deep and sincere and the challenge I and my peers have accepted has been anything but care free but these really have been happy days. In pursuit of dreams and goals that we all have found ourselves inspired by has been a priceless adventure. At each twist and turn of the path where the process seemed unfamiliar, we knew that we were in this together.
We have graduated once and are not finished yet. We will graduate again in two weeks and still won't be done but it is this second graduation hill that we are all pressing with all our might to climb that is really a remarkable. The difficulty of the academic terrain has been transformational for each and every one of us. Some have even made significant career moves this year encouraged by how confident we have become that our dreams can be realized. It is time for education and 21st century students to have at least 19 more learning technologists that will push with their last bit of energy to bring positive change in schools, in and out of classroom and in administrative sessions. Make no mistake, this year has been hard but … hard fun that has made me a better tech steward and has created a bond among some of the cadre that are friendships to last a life time. These last two weeks to prepare for our final presentations will have some intense moments but … how very cool to be in pursuit of meaningful goals with peers that I can laugh till milk comes out of our noses with. These are definitely not care free days but these really are happy days that I will forever be thankful for the opportunity to experience.
